Hi,

Follow these steps to install your Xbox 360 wired controller on Windows 10: Plug the Xbox 360 controller into any USB 2.0 or 3.0 port on the computer. Windows 10 will automatically install drivers for your controller, so you won't have to download or install software other than Windows 10 updates. XBCD is an abbreviation for the “X-Box Controller Driver” Which has been around for almost as long as the Original Xbox Controllers themselves (approximately 2001-2003). As of 5/4/2017 the guide was updated to illustrate ways of installing these drivers which hopefully will answer the many questions that we get about them.

What all suggestions have you tried, if you list them it would be helpful so that we do not repeat the same steps.

As of now you may try to connect the device to the computer and check if the device is getting detected in device manager.

To open device manager follow the link given below

Check if the device is listed under ‘Sound, video and game controllers’ or as ‘Unknown device’.

·If it is listed is there any yellow bang or a red cross against the device?

You might need to install the drivers manually

4.Right click on the Unidentified Device

5.Go to Properties

6.Go to the Drive tab

7.Click on Update Driver

8.Browse my computer for driver software

9.Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer

11.Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows Version: 2.1.0.1349 [8/13/2009]

12.Update Driver Warning

13.Click Yes
