Before i start talking about this album i have to state that the official 'wide' release of this album doesn't come until the 29'th. I got to hear it now because I donated $40 to Jason's indiegogo to get the tab book, and just today I received an email to download the album. So all contributors, CHECK YOUR EMAIL. You have the album now.
So my overall opinion on this album is ITS FUCKING GREAT. I was bummed with Jason leaving Chelsea Grin but this album makes me completely understand why.
The shredding on this album is absolutely unreal (To be expected from Jason) Titan, Hos down, and XV will melt your fucking mind.
Then there's Mirrors, which has a sick ass carnival theme with groovy AF leads and fast past breakdowns. His first single 'thought' is remastered, and the new mix both helps and hinders the song in certain parts. Another huge standout track is Retrograde featuring Spencer from periphery on vocals. The song is basically 'left foot action', one of the rough mixes he put up on soundcloud. But now that it's remastered and has Spencer's vocals on it's one of my favorite songs on the album. Chapter II sounds like what would have been a Chelsea Grin song had Jason decided to stay in. And Breaking Damnation is just gr00vy AF.
So basically, if you love progressive/djenty metal or are looking for a good instrumental album (Except for two songs that have vocals) definitely check this album out on the 29'th. Unless you donated, in that case check it out now. If anyone else has heard it please share their thoughts here.
