Marijane,

I have quite a bit of experience in collecting this brand myself, and can certainly answer any of your questions on this bottle...

Based on the Royal Warrant information, and the Series 'ZA' of your bottle, I can tell you that this was produced in very late 1951 to very early 1952.

Current auction values on such bottles are often hard to pin down, as professional auctioneers commonly mis-date White Horse bottles as being older than they are... causing accurate bidding data to be rather unreliable.

Auction values are also subject to several variables such as the country the auction is held in, the reputation of the auction house (very few specialize in whiskies), the number of similar competing bottles in a particular auction, as well as shifts in buyer interest in blended scotch versus other spirits.

That being said, your bottle is in rather good condition and generally speaking should fetch bidding in the $250-$300 range, if there are few competing bottles in the same auction...The auction house will of course take about 20-30% of this amount in fees & expenses.

In a private sale, if you happen to know a collector of blended whiskies, you should be able to sell this in the range of about $200-$250.
